Position Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting managers and supervisors in general administrative duties. Depends on others for instruction, guidance and direction.
Primary Responsibilities
Assists in making copies, answering phones, making appointments, maintaining records, ordering supplies, handling mail, data entry, word processing, filing, and composing correspondence.
Assists with greeting and helping visitors and employees.
Gathers and compiles analysis information for reports and presentations.
Schedules and coordinates travel arrangements.
Prepare and verify bills for processing.
Responsible for effective interaction with other internal departments (i.e. human resources, AP/AR, engineering, environmental, ISD, etc.) .
Develops competence in assigned areas of responsibility by performing structured and/or routine work.
It is understood that this list of responsibilities is not an inclusive list and that other duties and responsibilities; which may include helping others in the same or different departments, may be assigned by supervision. Builds knowledge of the organization processes and customers.
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2-4 years administrative experience.
Computer skills with knowledge of MS Office, Excel and integrated software packages including Outlook and Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with processing expense reports, using purchasing/inventory and contract software. Accounting knowledge in AP/AR.
Associates Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong client-service orientation, ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
